From the time I was 5 years old I've had a camera in my hand, my first being the Kodak Brownie Hawkeye. After a good many years of photographing, I wanted to learn to print my own images. So, about the time that everyone was turning to digital photography, I turned to the darkroom. And never looked back. I will take an occasional digital image, but if I find something that I really want to eternalize, it's going to be shot on film and printed on silver. These days I shoot with everything from a Holga to a Hasselblad so that I can best apply my interpretation of the subject matter.
When I print silver gelatin, it is usually in a batch of one. I do not digitally reproduce my prints.
